The Campus Public Safety Office (CPSO) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Center for Student Health and Counseling (SHAC): 503-725-2800
Doctors can perform a medical exam to check for injury and prescribe medication for sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy prevention.  Evidence collection is only preformed by staff at OHSU.  Counselors can provide crisis counseling and assessment of personal and physical safety.  On-going counseling can provide emotional support and help processing felling about both the assault and the reporting process.

Women’s Resource Center (WRC):  503-725-5672
Can give referrals for campus and community resources as well as provide advocacy on campus.

Office of Residence Life:  503-725-2450
Can assist with changes in living situations for students living on campus.

Office of Student Affairs: 503-725-4422
Can assist with changes in academic situations.  This is also the department that investigates reports of student conduct code violations.

Student Legal Services: 503-725-4556
Can offer assistance to students with the restriction that the dispute is not with another member of the university community.

Community Resources

Bradley-Angle House (BAH): 503-281-2442
Provides crisis referral and resources for women identified persons seeking help with domestic violence.  BAH offers emergency shelter, support groups, transitional housing services, and sexual and gender minority services.

Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU): 503-494-7551
OHSU has specially trained nurses called SANE’s that can take forensic evidence.  To access this service the survivor needs to go to the OHSU emergency room within 72 hours of the sexual assault.  The survivor should not shower, change clothes, or wash any possible evidence (including no douching or teeth brushing) as this will be important for a possible investigation.

Portland Women’s Crisis Line (PWCL):  503-235-5333
Sexual assault advocates are available 24 hours to assist women and me and help them access community resources.  This service is available for individuals regardless of whether they choose to take legal action or not.  PWCL can also help link women and men in domestic violence situations with the appropriate referrals including emergency shelter and support groups.

Sexual Assault Resource Network (SARC): 503-640-5311
Provides 24 hour sexual assault crisis line.  A trained advocate is on call to handle the call as appropriate. Advocates are trained to provide crisis intervention, peer support, information and referral.  SARC provides accompaniment to the hospital when contacted by law enforcement, hospital personnel, or the survivor / family or friends. The trained advocate on call will meet the survivor at the hospital to provide support. The advocate will accompany them through the evidence exam and law enforcement interview. The survivor is given information on Crime Victims’ Compensation and other resources as appropriate. Also provide support if the survivor chooses not to report but needs to go to the hospital to be checked out physically for injuries and receive medications as appropriate.
